Haley Acevedo, Neuroimaging Engineer
Haley is pursing her career in the industry realm.
Haley is a Washington University in St. Louis alum with a B.S. in Computer Science. She joined the Hershey lab in 2017. She works primarily on contributing software to facilitate data analysis.
Vicki Martin, MA, Professional Rater II
Vicki has been with Washington University since 2017 and joined the Hershey lab in 2019. Vicki’s background is in Speech-Language Pathology (M.A.) and works primarily with cognitive testing.
Anagha Narayanan, BA
Anagha is currently attending graduate school at Tulane University School of Medicine.
Anagha is a Wash U alum with a BA in Biology and the Classics. While in the Hershey lab, she worked on the Wolfram Syndrome project with audiology and ophthalmology data and also helped to manage study data for other various studies. When not working or going to school, she enjoys reading, hiking, and playing the piano!
Jacob Noel, Professional Rater I
Jacob is currently attending medical school.
Jacob graduated from Washington University with a B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences and a minor in Biology. He is currently administering cognitive tests for several of Dr. Hershey’s studies as well as managing data for the lab. Jacob is planning on attending medical school with particular interests in psychiatry, emergency medicine, and population health/health disparities.
Olga Neyman, MD/PhD student
Olga Neyman is an MD/PhD student in Dr. Hershey’s lab. She received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and is currently pursuing her doctorate in neuroscience. Her primary research interests revolve around the development of myelin in Wolfram syndrome and the effects of hyperglycemia on functional connectivity.
Amjad Samara, MD
Amjad graduated from medical school at An-Najah National University, Palestine. He pursued his passion for brain imaging as a postdoctoral researcher, first at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), and joined the Hershey Lab in September 2018. His research interests focus on applying advanced neuroimaging techniques to understand brain function in health and disease. In his free time, Amjad enjoys playing and watching soccer, photography, movies, classical music, and cooking.
Past Undergraduate Students
Richard is a student at Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology-Neuroscience-Psychology. He plans on graduating in May 2021 and intends to pursue a career in medicine after graduation. Outside of the lab, Richard enjoys playing guitar, singing to himself, beatboxing, and spending time outdoors.
Richa Sinkre is a student at Washington University in St. Louis studying Psychology and Healthcare Management. She plans on graduating in May of 2021 and hopes to attend med school after college. Outside of the lab she enjoys swimming, drawing, and hanging out with her friends.
